I found this double page layout very simple, yet creative and effective. From looking at lots of double page spreads I have to say I am drawn to this layout to the most. I find it very clever as the editor has put one name in bold and very large in eyes width with the reader so we are straight away able to see who this article is about. Furthermore the colour scheme is endearing as they have used subtle colours (apart from red) including the white background allowing the readers to see the black text clearly. The red compliments the rest of the page as it is the only bright colour in the colour scheme therefore emphasising the colour even more. Plus it matches the hair colour of the artist. The colour red generally symbolises danger, passion, lust and love which illustrates a fiery tone. From this we are able to tell what kind of artist "Lisa" is and what genre she specialises in (pop/rock). The fact that there are no smaller pictures on the page and only one long shot of the pop star, connote the artists professionalism and authority she holds in the music industry.
